Dinosaur Museum

Grandma Gibson invited us to the Dinosaur Museum on the last Tuesday of August. Apparently, Thanksgiving Point had a Tuesday special all through August where each venue was only $2. You can't beat a good deal like that. Doug, Amber, Leah, and Paige came too. We had fun hangin' with them (They have been in NYC the past few years while Doug was in Podiatry school) and Grammie. Unfortunately my camera battery gave out about 10 minutes after we got there. This is all I got. Grandma wants to go back and read all the informative plaques that the kids brushed past to get to the next cool thing. Sorry Grandma.

Orem Owlz Game

The kids orthodontist hosted a patient appreciation day/night at the Orem Owlz baseball game. The kids got a free shirt (which Trent had signed by several of the players-way cool!), dinner, and a ticket to the game. The rest of us had to pay, but it was a fun evening. And, just to let you know, the Owlz did beat the Helena Brewers (whew!)

Alpine Days Water Day

We attended the annual Alpine days water games with Stephanie, Nate, and Zack Shattuck. The highlight is always the firetruck which douses the kids with the firehose. Trent was soaked.

Liberty Land

Trent won tickets to Liberty Land at school. He wanted to go to all summer. We were finally able to go in August. Reagan and Mady Jex went with us. They had a blast on bumper boats, cars, roller coasters, jumping frogs and of course, Laser Tag. I tried to get more pictures of laser tag, but Trent told me that I was ruining the game (I have become an official nerdy mom).

The Gateway

As a last hurrah of Summer, we went to the Gateway Mall. The kids had a great time at the Clark Planetarium playing on Mars and the Moon, forecasting the weather, looking at the cool stuff.

Then we went to the children's museum. They played games, pretended to fly the LifeFlight copter, did puzzles, played grocery store, and built with huge blocks. We had to drag them out of it.

Of course, the kids had to play in the fountains also. On the way home, Trent told us that that is the coolest mall ever.

Bryce Canyon & Ruby's Inn

At the end of July, we went to Bryce Canyon. We stayed at Ruby's Inn and had a great time. We also stayed a night in St. George and went to see Footloose at Tuacahn. It was a really fun vacation.

This is the Place Park and Oquirrh Mtn. Temple

Mike took a day off Work in June and we went to the Oquirrh Mtn. Temple Open House. Then we visited This is the Place State Park. It was a rainy and gray day, but we had a blast.
Mitchell taking a stroll in the pioneer village

Mitchell was dying to ride the train. As you can see Trent wasn't quite as thrilled

I bet these horses get really bored going around in circles all day.

We are just a typical Indian family.

"Beat that rug Aubrey!"

It's funny how they will do laundry here, but not at home.

A Windy picture in front of the new temple. From this viewpoint you can see the Draper and Jordan temple also. They say on a really clear day you may even be able to see the Salt Lake temple . I haven't verified that claim because there are a lot of buildings in downtown that I think would obstruct the view.

Gibson/Doxey Family Reunion

We had an awesome time at Mike's family reunion this year. We went to Navajo Lake which is near Brianhead, Utah. It was beautiful. We all had a great time camping and hanging out with the relatives. Dave and Leslie planned it and they did a marvelous job.

Mitchell loved "biking" this way.

Aubrey as happy as can be!

Spring Break 2009

We went down to Moab for Spring Break. We visited Arches, Mesa Verde, and Goblin Valley. We stayed in the trailer and had a lot of fun. Trent could visit national parks everyday. He loves them
Trent's favorit place to visit is Goblin Valley. He could stay and play forever if we would let him.

Trent could also climb around forever at Arches National Park. He is in heaven.

I think he was happier than he looks at Arches.

Aubrey's Big Show

I am embarrased that it has been so long since I posted. So I will just put some hightlights of the last few (or more) months.

Aubrey insisted on entering the talent show this year. She had it all planned out that she would perform the "Hoedown Throwdown" from Hannah Montana. Her friend Madysen helped her perform it. The kids really seemed to like it. We are proud of her. Now she moves on to the big Junior High.
